The relevant route depends in part on whether the family member is a Chilean citizen, a permanent resident, or a temporary resident. Relationship, age, and dependency criteria also matter.
Family reunification
The official family-reunification category covers specified relationships with a Chilean citizen or permanent resident. Check that your precise relationship is included and how to prove it.
Dependents of a temporary resident
Dependent residence is a separate concept linked to the main temporary resident. It has its own relationship and support conditions. Do not assume that including someone in a household plan adds them to an application automatically.
Build a file for each applicant
Prepare identity and relationship records, any required authentication or translation, and evidence of the main applicant’s or sponsor’s status. Where a child is moving, additional permissions and care arrangements may need attention.
